FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

SEALIFE'S NEWEST DIGITAL UNDERWATER CAMERAS OFFER HIGHER RESOLUTION, MORE CREATIVE CONTROL

3.3 Megapixel Camera Systems Are the Next Wave in Underwater Photography

One year after launching the first and only dedicated digital camera designed specifically for underwater photography, SeaLife takes digital underwater photography to the next level with the addition of two new camera systems, the ReefMaster Digital DC300 and DC310 Land & Sea® Cameras. Offering more megapixel power (3.3) with a variety of Land & Sea exposure modes, the DC300 and DC310 help users capture sharp, richly colored images, whether in low light underwater or in bright conditions on land. Both are now available nationwide at dive and photo retailers, including Ritz Camera.

These 3.3 megapixel cameras offer options for every level of diver and snorkeler. For the experienced diver/photographer who wants more control over the camera functions, the DC310, with Advanced-Dive control system, allows users to manipulate resolution, light sensitivity (EV), exposure modes and much more while underwater. The DC300, with Easy-Dive control system, is the perfect choice for divers seeking a simple underwater photo system that produces breathtaking results.

Built to provide exceptional control and excellent results in any underwater condition, or even in harsh above-water conditions such as intense sun, the DC300 and DC310 are fully rubber armored with black cushioned grips, for soft comfort and ease of handling, and are expandable with all SeaLife accessories. Both digitals are waterproof and rated to a depth of 200 ft.

All ReefMaster Cameras are designed for One-Button-Operation and can be set to Land or Sea modes plus two modes that take into account the unique aspects of underwater photography. Both cameras also feature three dedicated underwater external flash modes, allowing for more exposure control when using an external flash.

'Sea' Mode
To compensate for low-light conditions that naturally occur as divers travel below the water's surface, users can set the DC300 and DC310 to "Sea" Mode. Once set in this mode, the shutter speed and aperture automatically adjust to compensate for these difficult light conditions, ensuring vivid images without worry of underexposure.

To help conserve power during underwater adventures, users can shut off the LCD monitor while the camera is on and compose photos using the large top-mounted SportsFinder.

'External Flash' Mode
Although the new DC300 and DC310 feature an on-camera flash that helps illuminate objects below the surface, they are also compatible with SeaLife's External Flash unit, which ignites the vivid colors of the underwater environment and allows users to illuminate objects from different angles. Because the External Flash is a slave unit activated via the on-camera flash, no sync cord is necessary. Set the camera to "External Flash," and it automatically de-activates the digital pre-flash.

The new ReefMaster DC300 and DC310 also feature three external flash modes that provides more exposure control. For perfectly lit photos in any situation, users can toggle among Macro Flash, Portrait Flash and Far Flash modes, which adjusts exposure based on camera-to-subject distance.

'Land' Mode
For precision photos of on-land subjects, you simply set the camera to "Land" mode. In "Land" mode, both cameras function as traditional digital cameras. Featuring a large LCD monitor, three resolution levels, TTL exposure control and macro ability, the DC300 and DC310 produce equally sharp, clear images in all light conditions.

Surfacing with a perfect set of images is simple with the new Quick-Review feature, which allows users instant access to all photos shot while underwater. With the Instant Delete function, users can preview captured images on the LCD Monitor and delete those less-than-perfect photos, saving storage space for better shots. After taking a picture the LCD monitor displays the image you just took while the question "Delete this?" appears on the screen for a few seconds, offering the choice to keep it or delete it by snapping the shutter button. With this Instant Delete function, users are guaranteed to return to land with a stunning set of images.

Photos can be composed via a large 1.5-inch, color LCD monitor on the back of the camera; or users can frame subjects through a top-mounted SportsFinder. Either way, composition is simple, even when viewing subjects through a dive mask.

The ReefMaster Digital DC300 and DC310 feature 8 MB of built-in memory, and an SD Card can be added for up to 256MB of memory. Both also feature an Auto Power-Save function that preserves battery life during extended dives and are powered by two AA batteries or via a 3.3 volt AC-DC Adapter.

The cameras come complete with all of the cables and software needed to transfer images to a computer or television. They are available in dive and select photo stores nationwide at prices starting at $499.95.

All ReefMaster Digital cameras are designed to accept the full range of SeaLife accessories including rechargeable SeaLife NiMH long-life batteries, External Flash units, Flash Diffuser, 8X and 16X Macro Set, 3X Close-Up Lens/Underwater Filter, Monitor Lens Shade, 24mm Wide-Angle Lens, protective carrying cases and instructional guides.
